There is a saying that sticks and stones can break my bones but words can never harm me; what lies, and self-denial is quoted in this saying. Words can harm us more than physical hurts and pains. James chapter 3 in the Holy Bible points out just how the tongue can be influenced by the wrong motivations and can set life on fire, down a path of destruction. it is the heart of a man by which the tongue disperses either life-giving virtue or life-destroying cursing.
