DEALING WITH TEMPTATION

GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR TEMPTATION

God will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with that temptation make a way of escape so that you will be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Prayer is Key
Prayer is the key. It is in the humbling of our selves that we find those ways that God has prepared for our escape. Sometimes it's simply to run, like Joseph had to do when he was confronted with Potiphar's wife. A man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed the word of God says, so Being honest with God about ourselves is an important first step. Trying to be strong within our own selves is like trying to win a basketball match alone, your facing five opposing team players all on your own, it's impossible.

God knows your weakness before you do, but he allows you to discover just how weak we are so that we will surrender our weaknesses to him. So that you will recognize that without him, you can do nothing.

Who Has The Final Say?
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, he started it and he has the power to bring you to completeness in faith, he makes you perfect in him, you can never be perfect in yourself. Trying to please God in your feeble strength wont be enough. But still God requires you to be perfect. See this word perfect as Determined, Relentless in pursuing God, not letting go of him despite of how many times you fail or fall down. Having a perfect heart towards God despite you weakness, because it's not about how strong you are but how strong he is. God said to Paul that his Grace is sufficient for him. So Paul determined that he would Glory in his weakness so that God's power would rest on him.

Lord I Need You
Remember when Peter said to Jesus, "Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!" John 13:9 Mmm so let our hearts yearn for him so that temptation will loose it's grip on us as we take it all to him in prayer.

Jesus Christ used the word of God as his defense when Satan tried to lure him into following his suggestions. There was nothing in Jesus that Satan could use as a temptation, there was no sin nor sinful desires in Christ that Satan could use as a tool against him. So Satan tried to distort the word of God, he tried to capitalize on the fact that Jesus was indeed very hungry and exhausted. If the Devil cant get you to outwardly walk away from God he will try to cause you to inwardly walk away from God. He will attack you in your mind, doubts, fears to exploit them in you in order to wreck your faith.

Humility's Work
Some think that being humble is a weakness but that's not true at all. Humility is the secret sword: You should never be ashamed to use the secret sword. I call it the secret sword because God sees it and it hurts the enemy every time you use it. The only way to use the secret sword is by placing it in God's hand. Allowing God to have his way in your life, God wins your battles. Sometimes your job is to just praise the Lord or just sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord, or to keep silent and stand firm. Either way, sin will not have dominion over you because if God is for you, who can be against you? No one, sure they will try and may even cause you o stumble but the ultimate victory is yours. God wont let them win over you because they will have to go through him first! And that victory is already won. Romans 8

COMING THROUGH

Today if you are tempted to turn away your ears and heart from the voice of God, Don't, it's the Enemy speaking!

Luke 4
Jesus Christ was led of the spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil, he fasted for 40 days and nights and during that time Satan came to him to tempt him. Jesus was hungry, the natural need of man and the need to fulfil what the body wants and needs was upon him. Sometimes the thing you hunger for the most can be a source of trial in your life, either the waiting for it, or the longing after it. Hunger, Jesus Christ was hungry, there was that time when the disciples begged him and urged him to eat and he said to them that he has meat that they do not know of. They looked at each other and asked each other if someone had given him food. Jesus was speaking of the fulfilment of doing God's will. Hunger was embroiled in his satisfaction at keeping his father's will, at completing his mission, to fully obey God the father. John 4

Know When the Voice of the Devil is Speaking, it's distinctly selfish.

So Satan comes with his very first temptation, 'If you are the son of God, then command that these stones be made bread. ( Why are you fasting, aren't you the son of God? why are starving yourself, use your power to make bread of these stones) Tempted to meet your own needs instead of relying or waiting on God. If you are the son of God then you surely have the right to make bread and feed yourself! God promises to take care of you but in spite all we do at times we want to do it all, there are some things God wants you to rely on him for, there are some things that will never come into our hand unless we learn to completely depend on God. Depending on God will teach you to obey him fully. The temptation to meet your own need instead of obeying God is the trial of your faith. Satan comes to tempt you out of God's best for you, just like he did with Eve then to Adam in the garden of Eden.

How One is Tempted
A man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed. When there is a need, a longing, a hunger, then your enticed into taking steps to attain satisfaction. Your mind kicks in and you start fantasising and creating an image in your mind of how where and when. Your in deep dodo now and your too blind to see what's happening. That's why denying yourself is so hard to do, patients is a hard virtue to learn, because it asks you to deny yourself. Give your will, remain where you are till God leads you to move. If Jesus Christ had yielded to just one of the Satan's suggestions, that would have been the end of the human race. Remember that he was lead of the spirit into the wilderness, to be tempted of the devil. It was his time to face the dark one, the key moment and the passage of time it took to come through the trials.

All in Christ
Everyone of of God's children will enter that valley, that wilderness, that time of trials. We have an advocate with the father, the man Christ Jesus, he been there and can help us in our time of trial. Sometimes we fail and God picks us up, then the time comes round again and we are tried again and again till we learn to only lean on God. The trial of our faith works patients, but we must let patients have it's perfect work so that we will be perfect and complete wanting nothing. God allows you to go through so that you will come through. The potter fashions something out of clay and the clay has to go through the process of being pressed and shaped and watered and spun and broken and rebuilt and on and on. But that's not it yet, the clay have come through the oven to be deemed complete, wanting nothing. Some people give up at the going through stage, they don't make it to the coming through stage.

Luke 4:1-4
Your coming through is not just about you, it's about the God in you who brings you through, it is by him that you come through. Your coming through will also be a source of help to the many souls who feel their alone, it will be a double wammy of victory displaying the power of God.
Learning to lean on God is and will be your life line in this life.

The process will teach you that you can depend on God's word, that you can and will live by his word. That his words are true and without it your nothing really. You will learn that his word is spirit and that it is life, you will not only read his word but you will start praying his word. His word will become your very life. You will come to realise that your life is not just a matter of eating and drinking, that it takes more than food to sustain living. You will come to understand Jesus's answer to the devil. That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.

Someone said Transhumanism is the melding of man and machine, like a Transformer only better, Better than RoboCop! sounds like Evil science to me. As the days of Noah, oh yes it is and worst. What could not be achieved back then will be achieved in our future, the evil plans of the fallen ones on this world? The deceptive onslaught of science without Godliness. It is written that God will give them over to their imaginations.

Do you realize that man sleeping man and woman sleeping with a woman is a result of God has given them over to their imaginations? That because you reject the truth of God, he let you corrupt yourself in those things he has commanded you not to be involved in? The children of disobedience. That having known that God is holy and to be worshipped they have turned their ears away from the truth and have fallen into depravity, then when someone tells them about God and Jesus they have their own wisdom to justify why they live the way they do. That's God giving them over to their own lusts. In that God allows them to be just the way they want to be. That's why they can't hear your words and are unable to have a reasonable conversation with you. Reprobate mind, void of Judgement, like an animal. Everything is carnal and sensual, it's wisdom but not from God. They can argue with you and even seemingly proving their point, they have an answer for the purest reply you make. Like as if you're talking to a stone wall. Hearts that are given over.

A Fearful Position to be in

This is without a doubt a deadly place and position to be in as a human being. That God gives you what you want because you reject his will. Don't let that be your fate, my friend. The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ. Hear God's word today and heed its warnings open your heart and repent of your sins. Understand that this world will be judged not because God hates you but because sin has a price and it's never to your advantage. Only to your detriment.

Repent/Turn and go in the other Direction

God loves you and the only way for you to get right with him is by admitting your wrong and surrender your heart to Jesus Christ. Ask him to come into your heart and into your life and save you. My friend, if you do this God will save you from the crown of your heart to the soles of your feet and make you a new creature in Christ Jesus. God will save you and turn you around and give you peace and put his love in your heart. God will give you eternal life, you were made to live forever, to live forever with him. God is your loving heavenly father and Jesus Christ is your Lord and savior. When Jesus Returns, and he will whether your alive or dead, he will call your name and if your faithful to remain with him from your heart, you will hear his voice, and his power will raise you up to meet him.

John 11:25

25 Jesus said unto her, “I am the resurrection and the Life. He that believeth in Me, though he were dead, yet shall he live;

26 and whosoever liveth and believeth in Me shall never die. Believest thou this?”
