Run For The Hills

The promises of God will never fail to reach you.
King David learned this first hand, he reflects upon it and worships God and praises him for who he is.
Psalm 121:1-8
I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
2 My help cometh from the Lord, which made heaven and earth.
3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
5 The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand.
6 The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
7 The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul.
8 The Lord shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

Ever feel like the world is crouching in on you, like you're being hunted and hounded, like everyone just wants a piece of you and you just want to run away? Well get in line, its all the trend since the dawn of time, since Sin came into the world by the fall of mankind.
Sometimes we run and when we feel no one truly understands us, in most cases we run from one messed up situation to another. Then, there comes a time when we run into what seems to be the right situation and surely we all need that in our lives, but I would like to draw your attention to those times in your life when you really need to leave and get away from the crowds. Life can feel like a multitude of attention seekers all vying for your time energy and talents, so running to the right source is very important.

Meditation
Lets take 3 instances in the lives of three individuals who felt the weight of being in charge or to have the responsibility and the pressure of standing up and being counted.

Jesus Matthew 5:1

Adam Genesis 3

Moses Exodus 19:1-5

Matthew 5:1 And seeing the multitudes, he went up into a mountain: and when he was set, his disciples came unto him:
Seeing the multitude, Jesus went up into a mountain, each verse speaks to us about the steps we take when a simple or a repetitive situation becomes what seems to be a huge burden. Here Jesus is not running away from the multitude but he is going to position himself where it's better and easier to minister to the the people, but first he has to set himself. Jesus when he was ready, when he had some alone time in the presence of God.  Think about what it means to be set.   It was customary for Jewish rabbi's to sit and teach, that seems to be the case here too.

Let's look at Moses who had a similar situation when he had to separate or put some distance between him and the people who were all looking to him for direction and answers.
Exodus 19:3 And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto him out of the mountain, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel;
Moses too had to go up into a mountain and his reason was to hear from God so he could have some answers for the people and the destiny of the nation of Israel. Perhaps it's one of those I feel like running away moments as this multitude of people would really try the patience of Moses in the coming years.

Running but where you run to, is what determines the course of your journey.
Then we have Adam, who when he heard the voice of God in the garden became afraid as he was hiding from God. Sin and the penalty of sin causes you to be afraid of being in the presence of God. While God is calling to you for relationship and a deeper intimacy we can find ourselves running away instead of to him. When we run from God, we end up in the traps the devil sets in our way. The devil is always and forever trying to ensnare you and God is always reaching to you with love and calling you to have fellowship with him. The world was made for your playground as you grow in perfect union with your creator.

So what can we learn form these examples? We can see that Jesus Christ took time to make the journey into a mountain terrain to set himself.  To be in that position so he can hear from his father and be ready to give of himself. He positioned himself on a high point in order to see clearly all that was below him, standing with God will always put you at a vantage point. When he was set, his disciples came unto him, he was able to perhaps first minister to those closest to him, before he ministered to the multitude. God is a god of order and not confusion.

We can learn from Moses that as a leader hearing form God is as vital as being in a position of leadership. Recognising that we need to run to God as leaders will keep us humble because we are made aware that we cannot lead unless we are willing to follow God's lead. We must get set and ready to go and to be all what God calls us to be, he has put greatness in you so don't be afraid to let it come forth though your life.

Letting what God has placed in you to come forth through your life, while you run to God all at the same time is your anchor in the storms of this life. We can learn from Adam that we should never run away from God no matter how scary it may feel and no matter how guilty and condemned you may be feeling, God is love and he always have a way to make it right. You have to most certainly trust him despite how hard the road seems, remember you're not alone. God is with you in that situation either to prepare you for better or to bring you out for the better, so instead of running from God just run to him and say, 'Hear I am Lord' Jesus Christ gave his life so you could live then he rose again from the dead so you could live forever with him, no more death and you were not meant for hell fire but for heaven's gates. Run to God today!

Believe Them Not

Believe Them Not

Perhaps it's time to stop listening to the gainsayers and naysayers and the atheists and the so-called wise men and the teachers with itching ears and all the ones who by the time you paid them your full attention, you walk away feeling further away from God and the truth which you know he has given you. Do your own research and if it does not line up with the word of faith and reassures you of the salvation you have in Christ, dump it! Gosh if an angel were to come down from heaven and gives you a word that's clearly not in keeping with his written word we are instructed to not believe, so why are you going to turn back on your faith for a mere man!? Galatians 1

The word of truth is a standard and all other information should support it, otherwise, all you will have is doubt and confusion.  When you have the truth you don't go looking for reasons to doubt, doubt is an enemy to truth.

I had a dream on the 3rd of March 2015 and as I wrote the dream down and meditated on it, I realized there was a word hidden in the dream a message. Here is the message: (Looking back is a sign of fear, which opens the door for the enemy to attack you with doubt more fear and finally unbelief. Which causes us to become stuck.)

          Remember Lot's Wife. Fear
"Lot's Wife" pillar, Mount Sodom, Israel.
Doubt and unbelief are just as dangerous as a terrorist, lending your ears to such voices is like putting your hand on a hot pan. Doubt breeds fear and unbelief which has a paralyzing effect on us. Fear keeps you from moving forward and doubt holds you back. whatever you are doing or trying to do or stepping out to do, if you listen to fearfulness and be lured into doubtful conversations it has a degenerative effect on your faith and purpose. It's the same trick Satan played on Eve in the garden.

Keep Well Away
Arguing scripture is just as bad as having a discussion with the devil, no matter what you say he will twist his response to you because his mind is already made up.  He will either pretend just to keep you going or make a joke out of everything you say, best is not to get into sparring matches with anyone about the Holy Scriptures.  Rather speak the truth in love and if you see that they have made up their minds, resist getting into an argument, It will not be worth your time.

Even though Christ was born into this realm through a human vessel, he was not the made in through the seed of man. He is characteristically God in the flesh. That is why he is also called the son of man, the perfect sacrifice for man and in man's place for the punishment of Sin.
So sourcing what Jesus Christ would have looked like by comparing facial structures to those living at the time is pointless at best.

Looking Through A Glass Darkly

The danger of a multicultural society that has no singular cultural system of foundation or ideology. In short, a nation that forgets God will be overrun by the ungodly masquerading as a religion of peace.
When you turn your ears away from hearing the truth, you will start to believe a lie, there can be only one way to the father and that way has already been told to us. That way has already been demonstrated bought and paid for in blood, death, and resurrection.

Don't be ashamed now my friend because the whole world has gone mad and common-sense is lost as men gaze into the screens of their mobile devices.
No one seems to have a grasp or an ounce of basic truth and understanding, it is like the world has been covered in a blanket of doubt fear, and unbelief. The love and lust for pleasure is now a commodity of a business. Morality is at an all-time low running along the bottom line of men's consciences. We simply allow the evil and profane splutterences of the depraved as we call it art and entertainment.

Danger, danger cries our night dreams but who listens and when will you shake yourself away from the singularity? This is the soundings of a world without God plunging into greater deception not knowing what is truth and what to believe, for who will you trust?

As it was in the days of Noah so shall it be at the coming of the son of man. You hear that? the son of man: the one who identifies with you and who knows your pain and hurt.  The son of man who was and is God in the flesh manifested and revealed for your salvation, yes he came back to get you, to take you in his loving arms. But will you believe it, the world doesn't, who cares?  Just run to Him in prayer and let him set you free in your mind and spirit from this matrix. Familiar words beating down your spine and part of you know that Jesus is your only hope and stay. So yeah you really don't need another sermon but you really, really do need God because nothing else is working. Nothing else will.

Watch out for the so-called Peace proclaimers, there is only one prince of peace.
When they shall say peace, peace then comes sudden destruction... They promise you peace while they hold a sword to your throat and command you to submit. This is the work of an occult, this is not the God and father of Jesus Christ who loved us and gave himself a ransom for us. Do not be deceived God is not mocked, they will reap what they have sown.

Who are they, by the way, they are none other than the ones who deny the father and the son, the spirit and theme of this age, the Godless society whose creative endeavors only drive a wedge between you and your maker. Run I say run from them and take fast hold of the word of God and turn your heart to believe the only one truth. That Jesus Christ is the son of God and that he is the savior of the world.

SOWING & REAPING

The world was born by the act of giving. This act of giving is sown into the very fabric and concepts of success. Nothing is for free, receiving has a pending withdrawal as responsibility is passed on. if your heart desires to be in a place of integrity you wont be able to resist not giving. It is the farmer who gives to the field through investment and receives based on that investment, the joy of planting into good soil.

The Parable Of The Sower
4 Again Jesus began to teach by the lake. The crowd that gathered around him was so large that he got into a boat and sat in it out on the lake, while all the people were along the shore at the water’s edge. 2 He taught them many things by parables, and in his teaching said: 3 “Listen! A farmer went out to sow his seed. 4 As he was scattering the seed, some fell along the path, and the birds came and ate it up. 5 Some fell on rocky places, where it did not have much soil. It sprang up quickly, because the soil was shallow. 6 But when the sun came up, the plants were scorched, and they withered because they had no root. 7 Other seed fell among thorns, which grew up and choked the plants, so that they did not bear grain. 8 Still other seed fell on good soil. It came up, grew and produced a crop, some multiplying thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times.”

This chapter continues to expand on the meaning of the parable of the sower and you will do well to check it out. Mark 4:1-20

PRAY & SPEAK LIKEWISE

No matter the situation and how long it's been going on, you must pray and speak life giving words. Pray but do not speak in contradiction to your prayers. Either as a joke or in gossip. Line up you words with the word of God and with your prayers. It may seem foreign for you to make declarations regarding your life and circumstances but that's because as human beings we don't live up to the image God has set for us. And as Christians we many times fail to walk in the spirit.

It's not natural to walk in the spirit because our flesh is always or most of the time against the spirit. Speaking in tongues when you don't even feel like praying in English. Sometimes it takes hours for us to get off the bed to pray despite the desire to pray. So you must act in faith, in faith because it's the only way to get results the flesh cant and is not willing for you to go the extra mile to get. You have to believe the word and fashion your life to it and by it. life as in the way you usually go about your daily life.

The world is getting darker and the allure of carnality is getting stronger and less perceptible. It all seems logical and human, no ultimate wrong or right, just opinions and standpoints. But in God it's not so. So work out your own salvation with fear and trembling. let us mind the words we speak knowing that they do indeed have power to bring life or invoke death. We were made in the image of God and as he spoke the world into existence, so we must be on guard when we thus open our mouths.

Make a New Start Today
Take some time today and pray to God confessing all the idle words you've spoken, repent of every word spoken in negativity and death. Thank God and worship him for his great mercy in keeping you despite your words. Then as you pray now make new declarations in line with what God has already declared is yours and has promised to you. Confess the truth of who God says that you are and declared it t the atmosphere. Speak life into your life as told to you by God, agree with God in your prayers and declarations. Stand on the the words of God and believe them with your whole heart. it will be done and as you change your speech in line with your prayers all lining up with the word of God, your situation will have no choice but to change. No matter what the outcome just give God all the glory.

Your Father Loves You
God is your father and loves you with an everlasting love. 1 John 3:1

DEALING WITH TEMPTATION

GOD IS BIGGER THAN YOUR TEMPTATION

God will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with that temptation make a way of escape so that you will be able to bear it. 1 Corinthians 10:13

Prayer is Key
Prayer is the key. It is in the humbling of our selves that we find those ways that God has prepared for our escape. Sometimes it's simply to run, like Joseph had to do when he was confronted with Potiphar's wife. A man is tempted when he is drawn away of his own lust and enticed the word of God says, so Being honest with God about ourselves is an important first step. Trying to be strong within our own selves is like trying to win a basketball match alone, your facing five opposing team players all on your own, it's impossible.

God knows your weakness before you do, but he allows you to discover just how weak we are so that we will surrender our weaknesses to him. So that you will recognize that without him, you can do nothing.

Who Has The Final Say?
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith, he started it and he has the power to bring you to completeness in faith, he makes you perfect in him, you can never be perfect in yourself. Trying to please God in your feeble strength wont be enough. But still God requires you to be perfect. See this word perfect as Determined, Relentless in pursuing God, not letting go of him despite of how many times you fail or fall down. Having a perfect heart towards God despite you weakness, because it's not about how strong you are but how strong he is. God said to Paul that his Grace is sufficient for him. So Paul determined that he would Glory in his weakness so that God's power would rest on him.

Lord I Need You
Remember when Peter said to Jesus, "Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!" John 13:9 Mmm so let our hearts yearn for him so that temptation will loose it's grip on us as we take it all to him in prayer.

Jesus Christ used the word of God as his defense when Satan tried to lure him into following his suggestions. There was nothing in Jesus that Satan could use as a temptation, there was no sin nor sinful desires in Christ that Satan could use as a tool against him. So Satan tried to distort the word of God, he tried to capitalize on the fact that Jesus was indeed very hungry and exhausted. If the Devil cant get you to outwardly walk away from God he will try to cause you to inwardly walk away from God. He will attack you in your mind, doubts, fears to exploit them in you in order to wreck your faith.

Humility's Work
Some think that being humble is a weakness but that's not true at all. Humility is the secret sword: You should never be ashamed to use the secret sword. I call it the secret sword because God sees it and it hurts the enemy every time you use it. The only way to use the secret sword is by placing it in God's hand. Allowing God to have his way in your life, God wins your battles. Sometimes your job is to just praise the Lord or just sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord, or to keep silent and stand firm. Either way, sin will not have dominion over you because if God is for you, who can be against you? No one, sure they will try and may even cause you o stumble but the ultimate victory is yours. God wont let them win over you because they will have to go through him first! And that victory is already won. Romans 8
